Z is for Zeal: Zeal is the Word for Today

Zeal is the word for today

Zeal is the word for today at A to Z blog challenge the brain child of the wonderful blogger cum writer ArleeBird

We are at the finishing line, though few left behind, many could touch the finish line.  There is a reason for my selection of this word for today.

I am sure we all had this zeal in the initial stage of this challenge, and that zeal lead us to reach here at the end of the challenge.

Zeal: The dictionary meaning says = Enthusiasm, Passionate, ardor etc… Yes, our enthusiasm brought us thus far.

We all need this zeal in our daily life to lead a victorious or successful life.

Though on the way we may face different kinds of hurdles, failures and problems, if we have the zeal to go forward it that surely takes us to reach the goal.

We know many such people in the pages of history, even in spite or their problems and difficulties the zeal they had helped them to reach to the success line.

let us look into few of such examples, since we are all involved in the field of writings, I am sure this will be an encouraging one to move forward, and no doubt, their zeal for their goal will be a guide to all of us.

Sometimes you may be surprised to know this.  Many of the world famous writers and their works were rejected several time by the publishers, but they did not looked back instead they sacrificed their time and energy to go forward.  With a great zeal they went forward and reached at the success line.

margaretmitchell www.goworldtravel.com
The famous book "Gone with the Wind" written by Margaret Mitchell was rejected by twenty five publishers, and later it bagged the famous Pulitzer Prize.

So is the case with George Orwell’s "Animal farm" and "Ann Frank’s Diary", sixteen publishers rejected these works and later become famous and counted as the great works of 20th Century.

The list continues, the following famous writers’ writings too were rejected several times.

William Gold’s "Lord of the flies", (Later he got Nobel Prize for literature)

Joseph Heller’s "Catch 22" (greatest work of 20th Century)

J K Rowling’s  ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (more than 4 crores of books sold out later in the series of Harry potter)

William Falkner’s  “Sanctuary” (he bagged Nobel Prize for literature)

Irving Stone’s  “Lust for Life” (later more than two crores sold out)

Rudyar Clippings stories,(later he got Nobel Prize for Literature)—the publishers just rejected his writings with a note saying “do not know how to write in English”

The interesting part is that they never got dejected or looked back, instead with great zeal they went forward and achieved their goal.

We need to have this kind of zeal in our life, not only in writing field, but in any field one need to have a kind of zeal to achieve the goal, definitely he can win the race with flying colors, yes, for this we need to have great patience along with the zeal.

Let us take one or two leaves from their life.  May these wonderful people’s life be an example or guide to us.  Let us have the same ZEAL that they all had.  As one of the A to Z face-page story said, "This is not the end of it," yes, let us continue our journey along with BLOGGING!!!

We at Philipscom Wish You All A Happy Blogging!!!

Have a wonderful time of friendship and blogging.

Thanks to Arlee Bird and Associates for allowing us to take part in this wonderful and great event.

Best Regards

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yahoo search or Google search Your search Ends Here.

We (the A to Z bloggers) are almost at the fag end of this year’s challenge.

Just one more day to go for the celebrations!!!

Today’s letter is Y, and I was in a bit dilemma about this letter.  And I was in search for one and I thought that that should not be yet another post but something worthwhile for my readers.   Suddenly my mind went back to the beginning of the A to Z Challenge.  This year I received the notification from few of my web friends   about the wonderful activities going to start at A to Z Blog challenge (Yet another brainchild of Arlee Bird).

Yes, some activities we come to know through friends but most of the other things we come to know only by our efforts, I mean through our search.

Yes, one way or other we are all searchers for something in this world.  Yes, for finding out something new we do some kind of search, and that process continues.  Few fortunate ones get the right result for their search and other continue their search but do not find it.

This is the sad part of my story here:

Are you in the first group of that fortunate ones or are you in the second group of less fortunate ones?

Let us check it.

I have posted one post in this series on this subject called search.   Yes, one of the famous search engines we all use it in our daily life is Google, especially the writers and bloggers use this quite often.  Google is now a part and parcel of many of the web users, of course this is not the only one, and there a good number of similar search engines in this world or web.  Researchers, students, doctors, engineers, house wives, executives and in fact every one uses these search engines.

As I said in my previous posts, these search machines may make mistakes since it is run by the human mind, and I am sure there will be some kind of drawbacks too.  In some search you may not get the needed or the appropriate one, due to many reasons.  But there is one place you get the appropriate answer to all your searches.

That is at the footsteps of Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of this world.

Very interesting!

You may ask how can a person search and reach at the feet of Lord Jesus Christ?

Yes, by hearing of  the Word of God one can easily reach at the place.  By hearing the Gospel one can come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the very purpose of His coming to this earth.   Yes, He came to save the sinners of this world, one who accept Him as his Lord and Savior will find peace and eternity.  (Read John’s Gospel Chapter 3:15 to17).

A Cartoon by the blogger
Ones you find Him your search for truth and life ends there.  One can find solace on this earth at His feet alone.  If one find him he is surely a blessed person, and he will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth its fruits  in its season, its leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalms 1:11).   Yes, he will flourish like a well grown fruit producing pleasant looking tree.  He will again be a solace to many who come near to him, or come under the shadow of this tree or come in closer contact with Him.

May God help you to end your search at the feet of Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks for your valuable time.

Yours lovingly

Philip Verghese 'Ariel'

Why are we on earth?
With a great purpose-
God placed us here to worship Him.

NOTE:
The very purpose of God's creation of us is to worship Him. The very existence of our life on this earth is fully depended only on His mercy. He is the ONLY one to receive whole glory and honor. As long as we live on this earth our foremost duty is to worship and praise HIM. The great thing is that this will not end here, but this course of action continues till eternity

XYZ Affair….
A to Z Blog Challenge is fast approaching to the finishing line. Just three more letters to go to find the finishing line.

Today is the turn of the 24th letter in the Alphabet, that is: “X”
Pic. Credit: Wikipedia
The beginning or origin of this letter is very interesting.  The World Encyclopedia says, and I quote:  “It came from a word used by the Semites, who once lived in Syria and Palestine.  They named it samekh,  their word for fish, and adapted an Egyptian hieroglyphic, or picture symbolized to represent  fish.  The Greeks later took the symbol into their alphabet, and used the letter to represent the sound of  ch.  The Romans used the letter to represent the same sound, but changed its shape slightly.”

Here is a great lesson to learn from the insignificant little creatures on earth,. “The Ants”. They do everything in unity. But we with our disunity most of the time fails miserably. . Let’s learn “UNITY” from them for our good.

Ants’ work in groups,
And achieve their goal in unity
Alas! Men lack this and fail.

NOTE:

Let us have a look at the lives of ants.

We the human beings can pick up from these insignificant creatures.

At A to Z blog Challenge R is the letter for the day.  The Letter R today stands for “Rape” Yes, rape is the word for today.

The other day the media reported of a five-year old girl’s rape.  The victim was brutally raped by a 25 year old person.  The police arrested the accused Manoj Kumar, 25, from his native village in Bihar today.  The greatest irony is that the girl was kidnapped and raped repeatedly and kept her in a room for two days without water and food. The accused inflicted wounds on the child’s body and inserted a 200 ml bottle and two candlesticks into her genital area.

Q is for Quality: Content Writers/Bloggers Beware! Quality is the Key Word For Today Not Quantity

Q is for Quality: Content Writers/Bloggers Beware! Quality is the Key Word For Today Not Quantity

As the A to Z blog challenge just passed half way through, here is a point to ponder upon.

Along with the blog challengers posts, tons and tons of contents are now available all through the web space.

Yes, people around the world are producing tons of material and posting it on the world wide web pages.

Let us just ponder over it.

What types of contents we are creating and what is the ultimate outcome of it?

Is it profitable?  Is it worth reading?, or is it informative or educative?

Let us ask ourselves!

Each one should think on this line, is our posts are worth readable.
Since the web world is filled with all kinds of resources and people are so busy in searching for their needs, if we can cater the right stuff at the right time our efforts will be fruitful and are rewarded.  And Above all we get the real satisfaction too.

In the content world a majority of them are useless stuffs, just to kill the time people post their contents.  Such ones may not get the real attention of the audience and our very purpose of posting or writing will not be served.

People may come to your space, but that will be a one time affair.

People need quality ones.  Quantity is not the criteria here but Quality is more important.

You may ask now:
Ok that is fine, then how it is possible for a new comer to create quality ones?

Indeed this is a good question!

Yes. Only by reading more and more related contents and by writing writing, re-writing and again writing and writing, one can reach to that level, yes, its not a few days efforts, but I think it’s a lifelong effort!
Yes, read, read, read, and then write, write, write and then again write. :-)

Only by practicing and practicing one can reach to that level.

Your sheer effort and hard work only will take you to that level.

Take your seniors criticism at the right spirit, and rectify it accordingly, that way one can improve their standard/quality of content creation.

If we can post/write quality posts  people will come back again to our space to read your posts.

So, let us take a decision to create quality products for our audience/customers or readers.

Producing quality products with suitable key words is the talk of the day, and the need of the hour.

Make note that, no one is perfect to produce such things all of a sudden, for this; one needs lot of perseverance and hard work.

By saying this please do not think that I am producing only quality ones, Oh No! When I look back I am sure, my major number of contents will come under the second category.  But still I am struggling to create quality ones.

Please do not take it the other way round.  I am not an expert to give more lines on this subject.

These things I just mentioned here because of my keen observations since few years on web world.

Some people are very prompt to produce contents daily, sometimes even about one to ten or more on a day.   This is good but I am afraid, that may reduce their quality, though they are reputed or well experienced ones, many a times the result will go back to the second category.

So Beware my fellow writers!
Take time to create good and worth readable quality ones,

May this years A to Z challenge be a great challenge on this issue.

How are you doing?

What types of content your are creating for your audience?

Would like to hear from you and your opinion on this point.

Your feedback is well taken,

Best regards and good wishes  for a Happy Blogging!
