An Alert And A Tuto: My Janauary Installment At IWSG

Greetings to all my friends here at IWSG.

Every First Wednesday is dedicated to the writers’  especially the to the blog writers' by the well known Sci-Fi  writer cum blogger Alex J. Cavanaugh, the famous Ninja
Captain and his associates @ IWSG.

Since This January's First Wednesday falls on the New Year Day, this month's IWSG day is shifted to the 8th the second Wednesday.

Before I jot down my take for the month’s installment I must tender an apology for the bit delay happened in submitting the page.  As I was not fully well I could not concentrate on this month's piece.  Due to the giddiness and the related ailments literally I was away from my desktop.  Though I was intermittently using my mobile phone to post few short notes and likes at some of my social networks.  Today I am much better thus this post.

Again before I enter into the original text for the month, I must say a BIG word of thanks to the wonderful team of IWSG under the leadership of Alex J Cavanaugh, for bestowing me the prestigious award for 2013 IWSG contest held on December 4-16  2013.

THANK you so much for the International Prize Package given to me.

I wanted to give a caution or alarm to the readers here
through this post.

We are living in a world of uncertainties, anything can happen to anybody at any time!
There is no doubt that, it is an undisputed fact.
But I wanted to caution you about our hard earned or made contents at the World Wide Web pages.  Suppose if you lose all your contents in a fine morning what will happen!  No doubt that will be a big disaster!

Did you ever thought of such a situation? If not just imagine one fine morning when you try to open your blog pages its showing a big zero or let me put it this way a big blank page on your computer’s screen.  There are many possibilities to happen this, even while you typing or editing the contents this can happen.

There are several other ways to lose our valued blog pages, another one is by hacking.  There are a good number of hackers out there in this World Wide Web.  The WWW is no doubt a mixture of good and bad.  The hackers, some do this as a fun and few others purposely do this to spoil other’s reputation and images.  This types of things are happening even in some official web sites of different nations.  So be always ready to face such situation of losing all your content by the act of hackers.

The other day I was just talking about this to one of my blog friends’.  Immediately he said, no worries! before that you can take a precaution.  Why don’t you take the backup of your files in the blogger pages?

Hey, hey, how I can do that?  I yelled, instantly and he suggested few pages to visit to learn more about this.

Here I am with that pages for your information and further visit.

New Year Resolutions Are Made To Break!!!

New Year Resolutions Are Made To Break!!!

Yes, there is a common saying in our midst that, “Rules (Laws) are made to break”

In many cases if we closely look into it we can come to the conclusion that, it is exactly what is happening in and around us.

Even the law makers and the people who are supposed to implement it are the one who breaks it first.

The common man quiet often look at such law breakers helplessly!

I think it’s a common trend in many parts of the country.

Every year we show much anxiety in the closing of the year to prepare to enter into the New Year with more enthusiasm and vigor.  Many firmly take different decisions (resolutions) to implement in the New Year.   Mostly these are taken with a genuine heart but sadly many cases it ends up or break it even before completing a week in the first month.

In our Churches/Assemblies people gather on 31st night to make such decisions, but sadly, if we look at it, in many cases it will not have life beyond January in some cases as I said it won’t go beyond the first week.
I do not encourage or practice such things since I could not implement it genuinely.  Since one cannot implement it wholeheartedly why do we do or take such resolutions.   I am of the opinion that, if we take such decision before God and in the presence of other fellow believers which we can’t practice is purely cheating or bluffing God.  Why do we want to increase or add one more in the list which we can’t do?

Some say:  This year on-wards I do get up early in the morning at 4 O’ clock and spend more time in the presence of God in meditating God's Word and spending time in prayer.  Some say this year I do not hurt anybody by my word or deed. And so many such good resolutions people make.  No doubt these are all good decisions.

But Alas! Due to many pressing reasons it breaks halfway.

If we can’t   genuinely do or show at least one percent of it why do we want to take it?

What is the meaning of taking such resolutions which we cannot implement an iota of it?

Is it to show others?

Instead of taking such decisions before God and in the presence of fellow believers, why can’t we look back and try to do the things which we could not finish in the previous year.

Give priority to implement the things we could not do or finish in the previous years.

Why can’t we take or consider each day as a new day, Yes, God made it that way, but, we the people changed it for our conveniences and celebrations.

By saying these,  I am not condemning the dear ones who do it genuinely.

Let us check back, where we failed, rectify it and implement it with a genuine heart.

May the days ahead are blessed and profitable ones for each one as well as may it be for the glory of God.

What were your previous year's resolutions ?

Could you be able to fulfill any?

What are you going to do this year with the old and the new resolutions?

Would like to hear from you!

Thanks for visiting this page and for your great support extended to me in the previous years!

Yours Sincerely

Philip Verghese 'Ariel'

“Big Ideas 2014”

Yet another year is going to settle down into the pages of history.

Predictions and events are happening in the scientific and business world every year.

Here is an interesting and informative news to ponder over at the closing of this eventful year.

In the year 1999 the Business Week published a series of articles predicting 21 new ideas that can change the 21st  century.  Under those series as the 14th number they posted an article titled “The earth will don an electronic skin”

It starts with an intro and I quote: “Hundreds of thousands of PCs working in concert have already tackled complex computing problems. In the future, some scientists expect spontaneous computer networks to emerge, forming a ''huge digital creature''

50 States of Pray. My Take....A Prayer From India

Picture Sourc Mark Koopmans
Mark Koopmans

My friend, Mark Koopmans, has come up with this wonderful idea of a blog hop.  50 States of Pray, where on Christmas Eve hopefully people from each of the states will share our prayers, hopes, dreams, disappointments and whatever else for 2013 and onto 2014, all in about 100 words. Now, that’s indeed a great challenge!

Mark Koopman’s new blog hop “50 State of Pray” is an encouraging and a timely one.  PRAYER is an essential part of a Christian believer. Yes, its a vital one in a believer's life.  I just joined in the bloghop, and here is my post for the day.
PRAYER THE NEED OF THE HOUR.

Though I am from the other side of the nation (US), Mark allowed it to the other nation bloggers too! Lo! I am here with my take.   I am from India.(IND)

As the Apostle Paul said in Philippians Let me repeat it: "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.  Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand....   Also Paul says in 1 Thessalonians:  "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing."
Yes, it’s not a one-time affair, instead it should be a continuous process in a Christian believer's  life.

But sad to say we all quite often pray for our selfish interests, but actually it should be the other way round.  We need to pray for the needs and welfare of others.  Especially if you are a real follower of Christ, you need to pray for the salvation of the unsaved ones.  This is what the Bible says too.

Though I do remember these in my personal prayers here in this post I want to emphasis the same thing:

Here is my take:
Lord, I give all glory and honor to You for giving us yet another year to live.
I pray for my nation as well other nations and its leaders for a smooth administration.
I pray for the poor and needy especially the one who are yet to know the Lord as their Savior.
I pray for the peace among the nations, especially for the peace of Jerusalem.

And Lord I pray for all the people who come across in my life especially in online and also my offline fellow brethren.  God Bless Them All. Thank you Lord. Amen.

WISH YOU ALL A BLESSED DAY!!!
