Zeal is the word for today

Zeal is the word for today at A to Z blog challenge the brain child of the wonderful blogger cum writer ArleeBird

We are at the finishing line, though few left behind, many could touch the finish line.  There is a reason for my selection of this word for today.

I am sure we all had this zeal in the initial stage of this challenge, and that zeal lead us to reach here at the end of the challenge.

Zeal: The dictionary meaning says = Enthusiasm, Passionate, ardor etc… Yes, our enthusiasm brought us thus far.

We all need this zeal in our daily life to lead a victorious or successful life.

Though on the way we may face different kinds of hurdles, failures and problems, if we have the zeal to go forward it that surely takes us to reach the goal.

We know many such people in the pages of history, even in spite or their problems and difficulties the zeal they had helped them to reach to the success line.

let us look into few of such examples, since we are all involved in the field of writings, I am sure this will be an encouraging one to move forward, and no doubt, their zeal for their goal will be a guide to all of us.

Sometimes you may be surprised to know this.  Many of the world famous writers and their works were rejected several time by the publishers, but they did not looked back instead they sacrificed their time and energy to go forward.  With a great zeal they went forward and reached at the success line.

The famous book "Gone with the Wind" written by Margaret Mitchell was rejected by twenty five publishers, and later it bagged the famous Pulitzer Prize.

So is the case with George Orwell’s "Animal farm" and "Ann Frank’s Diary", sixteen publishers rejected these works and later become famous and counted as the great works of 20th Century.

The list continues, the following famous writers’ writings too were rejected several times.

William Gold’s "Lord of the flies", (Later he got Nobel Prize for literature)

Joseph Heller’s "Catch 22" (greatest work of 20th Century)

J K Rowling’s  ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (more than 4 crores of books sold out later in the series of Harry potter)

William Falkner’s  “Sanctuary” (he bagged Nobel Prize for literature)

Irving Stone’s  “Lust for Life” (later more than two crores sold out)

Rudyar Clippings stories,(later he got Nobel Prize for Literature)—the publishers just rejected his writings with a note saying “do not know how to write in English”

The interesting part is that they never got dejected or looked back, instead with great zeal they went forward and achieved their goal.

We need to have this kind of zeal in our life, not only in writing field, but in any field one need to have a kind of zeal to achieve the goal, definitely he can win the race with flying colors, yes, for this we need to have great patience along with the zeal.

Let us take one or two leaves from their life.  May these wonderful people’s life be an example or guide to us.  Let us have the same ZEAL that they all had.  As one of the A to Z face-page story said, "This is not the end of it," yes, let us continue our journey along with BLOGGING!!!

We at Philipscom Wish You All A Happy Blogging!!!

Have a wonderful time of friendship and blogging.

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yahoo search or Google search Your search Ends Here.

We (the A to Z bloggers) are almost at the fag end of this year’s challenge.

Just one more day to go for the celebrations!!!

Today’s letter is Y, and I was in a bit dilemma about this letter.  And I was in search for one and I thought that that should not be yet another post but something worthwhile for my readers.   Suddenly my mind went back to the beginning of the A to Z Challenge.  This year I received the notification from few of my web friends   about the wonderful activities going to start at A to Z Blog challenge (Yet another brainchild of Arlee Bird).

Yes, some activities we come to know through friends but most of the other things we come to know only by our efforts, I mean through our search.

Yes, one way or other we are all searchers for something in this world.  Yes, for finding out something new we do some kind of search, and that process continues.  Few fortunate ones get the right result for their search and other continue their search but do not find it.

This is the sad part of my story here:

Are you in the first group of that fortunate ones or are you in the second group of less fortunate ones?

Let us check it.

I have posted one post in this series on this subject called search.   Yes, one of the famous search engines we all use it in our daily life is Google, especially the writers and bloggers use this quite often.  Google is now a part and parcel of many of the web users, of course this is not the only one, and there a good number of similar search engines in this world or web.  Researchers, students, doctors, engineers, house wives, executives and in fact every one uses these search engines.

As I said in my previous posts, these search machines may make mistakes since it is run by the human mind, and I am sure there will be some kind of drawbacks too.  In some search you may not get the needed or the appropriate one, due to many reasons.  But there is one place you get the appropriate answer to all your searches.

That is at the footsteps of Jesus Christ, the Lord and Savior of this world.

Very interesting!

You may ask how can a person search and reach at the feet of Lord Jesus Christ?

Yes, by hearing of  the Word of God one can easily reach at the place.  By hearing the Gospel one can come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the very purpose of His coming to this earth.   Yes, He came to save the sinners of this world, one who accept Him as his Lord and Savior will find peace and eternity.  (Read John’s Gospel Chapter 3:15 to17).

A Cartoon by the blogger
Ones you find Him your search for truth and life ends there.  One can find solace on this earth at His feet alone.  If one find him he is surely a blessed person, and he will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth its fruits  in its season, its leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper (Psalms 1:11).   Yes, he will flourish like a well grown fruit producing pleasant looking tree.  He will again be a solace to many who come near to him, or come under the shadow of this tree or come in closer contact with Him.

May God help you to end your search at the feet of Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanks for your valuable time.

Yours lovingly

Philip Verghese 'Ariel'

Why are we on earth?
With a great purpose-
God placed us here to worship Him.

NOTE:
The very purpose of God's creation of us is to worship Him. The very existence of our life on this earth is fully depended only on His mercy. He is the ONLY one to receive whole glory and honor. As long as we live on this earth our foremost duty is to worship and praise HIM. The great thing is that this will not end here, but this course of action continues till eternity
