H is for Hyderabad and Secunderabad (Twin Cities) Our Beautiful Cities

Though I am born and brought up in Kerala one of the southern states in India, I am replanted to this city almost 30 years back.  Now I am part and parcel of this big city.  Thirty years after now when I look back, I can see the tremendous  developments taken place in the city in recent past.
Here is a glance of this city’s history:
Until it became a state of India in 1950 it was an independent nation.  In 1956 India reorganized its states and divided Hyderabad  among the states of Bombay (Gujarat and Maharashtra), Mysore (Now Karnataka), and Andhra Pradesh.

Golconda Fort
Hyderabad was part of the Mogul Empire from 1687 to 1724. Then a Mogul viceroy (governor) made it independent.  During 1800 Britain gained control of Hyerabad’s foreign affairs.  The NIzam’s (rulers) of Hyderabaad were  famous for being among the richest person in the world.  Though they were Muslims, four fifths of their subjects were Hindus.
When India was partitioned in 1947 Nizam refused to join either Pakistan or India. Clashes followed between Muslim and Hindus.  In 1948 India set up a military government in Hyderabad.  When Hyderabad state was partitioned, Hyderabad City became the capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Mecca Masjid
It has several historical monuments,

and Charminar is one among them

and it was built in 1591.The building

has four minarets (towers) and four

arches through which the main

streets of the city pass.

It is one of the biggest trading centers, for textiles, guns, glassware, paper, flour, railway cars etc.

Hyderabad is the capital and largest city of the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It occupies 650 square kilometres on the banks of the Musi River. According to 2011 census its Population is 6,809,970
Founded: 1591

Though Hyderabad and Secunderabad  are two cities and is  known as twin cities.  The name Seunderabd is rarely used outside it is known or called as twin cities.  Secunderabad’s  history runs parallel to that of Hyderabad, with some scholars claiming that its origin was technically established back to the time when Hyderabad was also formed.   Hussain Sagar,  a manmade beautiful lake built during the reign of  Qutub

Shahis in 16th century, separates Secunderabad from Hyderabad.  In spite of the close connections between the two, though, both cities have a  mixture of cultures, with Secunderabad having fully developed under a direct British rule while Hyderabad has been a princely state ruled by the Nizams.

Secunderabad  was established in the 18th century, when Hyderabad was under the reign of the third Nizam of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, Sikandar Jah. It was founded in order to station the French and, subsequently, the British troops back when the British and the French established their hold over India. Secunderabad holds one of the chief British military stations in India and as of now is the headquarters of the 9th Division of the Southern Army.  It also includes Bolaram, the former military station of the Hyderabad contingent which has now been merged in the Indian army, and Trimulgherry, the artillery military station that, today, is now a well-developed suburban part of the city.  In 2007, Secunderabad celebrated its 200th year of formation.

The Muslim community  in Hyderabad constitute  about  40% of the total population.  In the whole of Andhra Pradesh State Hyderabad has the largest Muslim population, their presence is felt strongly in the old city of Hyderabad.

Hyderabad population is also constituted of Christian groups of different denominational are found in the city, though at a very small scale,  you can see a good number of  churches throughout the city. The prominent ones are situated in Hyderabad’s  Abids area  and Secunderabad.  Also there are a good number of  Christian education institutions are scattered all over Hyderabad and Secunderabad cities.  Apart from Telugu speaking people a large number of the population is Tamilians (or Mudaliars) and they have managed to maintain their distinct identity across the centuries.  Malayalees (Keralites) Bengalees, Kannadigas, the business communities of Marwaris  and parsies are also settled in these cities.

The headquarters of the Indian Railways’ South Central Railway is situated in Secunderabad. The oldest and largest railway station in the Twin Cities, the Secunderabad Railway Station, is in this city. Telugu, Hindi, Urdu and English are the main languages of communication of the Hyderabad population.

Though Hyderabad’s glory is in its high peak there is a sad part too.  The traffic system in this city is one of the worst; one can find a most terrible traffic system here in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

F for “Facebook”
Oh No! “F” is for “Faithbook”

Facebook is one of the famous social networking website.  Here one need to register and can upload photos videos and send messages to their friends by posting it on the wall as well as one can send private mails too.
It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow Harvard University students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes.  The membership was initially limited by the founders to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. It gradually added support for students at various other universities before opening to high school students, and eventually to anyone aged 13 and over. Facebook now allows any users who declare themselves to be at least 13 years old to become registered users of the site.  This is now available in 37 different languages.

It has now many features like kno-it-all, Marketplace, groups, events, pages etc.
These days many use it mainly to promote their products, services and resources; no doubt it’s a good media to reach millions of people in a fraction of seconds. A good number of people join and visit this site to just to pass their time, or to do some kind of gossips or just to relax after a day’s toil.

OMG!!!

My title already said that this post on “F” is not on Facebook but on “Faithbook”
But I am going away from my intended subject.  Let me come to the point.  I am slightly worried to note that few of you may disagree with my points here.  Anyways, I need to express what I mean to express.  If you got annoyed it you can coolly go to the other blog.

Ok this Faithbook is a different one from the popular facebook.  Yes, in its entirety it is different from the other.

Whether you accept it or not, Faithbook or The Bible is the greatest of all and it cannot be denied that it is the most remarkable and precious one, human beings ever received.   Yes, it’s amazing and no doubts a ‘Unique Book’.  Yes it’s written by the inspiration of God.  When one goes through it he can realize that God himself is talking through it.   And you can communicate with God any time 24/7 through prayer and supplication.

Not only that you can find any solution for your life’s problems.  It’s a guide book towards the journey to heaven.  If follow the instructions in scripted in it you will surely reach the destination safely.   No other books on this earth give such detailed instructions to human being connected with his life and destiny.
Follow the instructions and be sure about your life!

But please do not listen to my words; look into the following facts and check out for yourself.

A)    The Bible is unique in its continuity, and it’s written over a 1,500 year time span by over 40 authors from different walks of life from kings to peasants at different places at different intervals.  It’s unique because the authors of different experiences dealt with number of controversial subject in full harmony. All the authors outlined God’s great love towards man.

B)    The Bible has more reads than any other book.  It’s still the number one book in sale. And it was the first major book printed; it is first printed at Gutenberg’s press.

C)    The Bible has been translated and published in more languages than any other book.

D)   The Bible is the only book which withstood many attacks by its enemies.  Kings and rulers tried to destroy it from the time of Roman emperors to the present day rulers. Even in spite of the countless opposition its teachings and truths have been preserved, it is in itself a miracle.

E)     Modern archaeologists have confirmed and proven the Bible’s absolute accuracy and proven it to be a source of History.

F)     The Bible is the only book ever produced which contains a good number of prophecies which is prophesied thousands of years back fulfilled accurately.
These are some of the amazing facts about the amazing and unique book, but unfortunately a good number of people who consider themselves as smart and intelligent just ignore it for their peril.

Jesus Christ Wants to put you in His Book.

Do you Accept.  It is up to you to decide.

You need not worry about the 4, 7 10, 14 days or one months

block from the book, or no fear about getting deleted from the

account permanently.  No. This registration is a permanent one,

and once registered you are safe in His hand.

E is For ‘Enough’ "I Cannot Do Enough Oh God!

I cannot do Enough Oh God!

I cannot do Enough talk for the wonderful things you have done to me on the Cross of Calvary

I cannot praise you Enough Oh Lord for the shed blood on the Cross of Calvary for my sake.

I cannot do Enough writing about the marvelous things you have done for me.

I cannot return Enough love you have given to me when I was an enemy to you.

I cannot give Enough thanks to you for the breath (the very existence) of my life.

I cannot give Enough gratitude for your wonderful provision and protection to me and my family.

I cannot remember You Enough in my life for thy great remembrance towards me.

I cannot  list out Enough the things you are going to provide for me in heaven!

O Lord! Help me and forgive me for these short comings.

O Lord help me to do these things enough in my days ahead.

And  O Lord help me to say GOODBYE to  “I CANNOT DO ENOUGH”
